Notice the ID Numbers in blue paint on the hood?

Many vehicles made during WWII came from the factory with ID's in blue paint. German reconnaissance planes would track ID numbers on vehicles, to predict the size of the force, or number of vehicles arriving in Europe. The blue paint confounded this because that color of paint would not be visible on black and white surveillance photos. "Blue Drab"
